Tuscaloosa's One Place

Tuscaloosa's Promise

Tuscaloosa's Promise is a local initiative of the national America’s Promise movement. Involves collaboration among churches, businesses, private sector, education, social service agencies, etc. to ensure all children in our community are afforded five basic rights:

  • A Caring Adult
  • A Safe Place
  • A Healthy Start
  • The Opportunity to Serve and Give Back
  • Marketable Skills

Last year the Promise helped with the annual school supply drive, the Cyberspace Forum and the community forum “Doing What Matters for Tuscaloosa’s Children.” For more information on the Promise please contact Sabrina Thomas or Christy Horner at (205) 462-1000.
